The Thrashers are proud to select the following players for P.O.M. awards for December 2005.
Player of the Month

Martin St Louis
Since arriving from Chicago Martin has been nothing short of spectacular. He was acquired to bring his scoring touch to Georgia and that he has...in spades.
- Had a 7- game Goal scoring streak
- 12 - game Point scoring streak
- 3rd in league stats as a LW and moving up fast!
- 3rd in the league in plus minus with a +32.

Captain Craig Conroy
Captain Craig has been Mr Everything for the Thrashers since Game 1 of the season. He has embodied the type of player who's unselfishness has assisted the team in its hold on its first overall standing in the CPHL.
- 2nd time nominated for POM.
- 3rd in the CPHL in assists with 42.
- had a 12 game point scoring streak.
- 2nd in the league as a Centre in points with 56.
- 1st in the league in plus minus with a +36.
- In the race for the Hakan Loob award for most gentlemanly player.

Defenceman of the Month

Scott Niedermayer
He was one one of the players that GM Peterson went hard after early in the season. Since arriving from Minnesota he has carried the Thrashers and helped make it a dominant team and one to worry about on the Powerplay as well as anchoring the #1 line.
- Had a 4 - game Goal scoring streak
- Had a 11 - game Point scoring streak
- 5th in league in assists!
- 2nd in league in Defence scoring with 49 points.
- League leader in Gary Suter Award race.
- 3rd nomination for POM.
- league leader in plus minus race with +32.

Brian Rafalski
He was another player that GM Peterson was looking for early in the year. Since arriving from the New York Rangers he has teamed up with Scott Niedermayer to make a dynamic 1-2 duo on the PP as well as anchoring the 2nd line and PK.
- Had an 8 - game Point scoring streak
- 11th in league in assists!
- 6th in league in Defence scoring with 38 points.
- 1st nomination for POM.

Goalie of the Month

Garth Snow
When GM Peterson started looking for a solid backup to Patrick Lalime, Garth Snow was #1 on the list. Since arriving from Nashville in the Milan Hejduk deal Garth only has one loss in 7 games for the Thrashers.
He has allowed the team to rest All Star goalie Patrick Lalime when needed, to ensure the team will be ready for the playoffs next April.
- Has a 2.43 GAA
- Has 1 shutout.
- Has a .906 Save percentage
