As far as revenue sharing goes, every single revenue projection I've ever seen for a Winnipeg team relies on revenue sharing. So no, Winnipeg isn't likely to save the other teams anything.

Well a team in Winnipeg may lose less, which is kind of a saving, my guess is the league looks at Winnipeg as a better place to mothball the franchise until such time as it becomes marketable to somewhere with a better arena.
