Just FYI after someone claiming to be a Vancouver Coastal Health IT worker and claiming to have inside knowledge, I was contacted by and spoke with a very nice person from Vancouver Coastal Health.
Privacy issues are serious and have legal implications, so I decided rather than try to sift the thread to instead just remove the thread. I appreciate there was good discussion in amongst the bad and I apologize for removing that.
I've retained the info though for further investigation if warranted.
Normally an explanation for a deleted thread isn't really necessary, but in this case I wanted to explain and share.
This is not an isolated incident, every few months I have to have discussions and/or take actions as a result of people's posts on this forum. I meet some interesting and generally nice people doing so
And it makes for great stories.
The reason I share that is sometimes people think "It's just the Internet" or "This is entertaining for me", but there's no separation between the Internet and real life, the Internet is real life with real life repercussions.
