2nd paid 450
3rd paid 250
So it sounded like a solid deal to chop it and each get 450. The guy who was in first had at least double both our stacks, so although we could of had a chance at beating him, at least getting 450 instead of 250 was nice.
The guy who was in first ended up winning the extra 50, I finished second.
I made a dumb play and cost me 10K or so in tournament money.
I had pocket Aces, another guy had pocket Kings.
Flop came Ace, King, Rag. After the river came I bet, he raised and instead of going all in I just called. There was a straight draw on the board, but I should of re-raised him. Both of us thought we were trapping the other, it was nice to come out the winning side.
At the final table I folded pocket 6's, I should of limped..the flop came six six and something else..I would of flopped Quads. Someone hit a flush and there was lots of money on the table, I would of been paid off nicely.
Thankfully though I still made the money.

Congrats! If we all new what the cards were going to turn up we wouldn't be sitting at our day jobs now would we.
I've been actually playing some pretty decent poker lately both live and online and even though I haven't got the results I would like I've been getting my money in on the best situations and just getting sucked out on. In the end it's still gambling and that's the best anyone can hope for.
I actually enjoy reading everyday players, like myself, stories. Pick up a few things here and there.
Bad beat last night for me happened in a rebuy tourny lots of chips in play and huge prize pool. Sitting second in chips on the table top 10% of field and get dealt qq in bb. UTG raises 3 times bb and gets one caller. By this time blindes are 2500/5000 in a 3Xturbo so I push all in. Both players call and roll a-9 and a-j. Flop comes 10,10,10 turn is a Q and river comes a 10. leaves me severely crippled and i'm out 5 hands later.
