If Bochy happens to keep Brandon Belt around, that opens up a whole plethora of options as well. Never really liked this team last year, outside of their dominant pitching staff, but if Belt sticks and Huff moves to the outfield - makes them a deeper lineup for sure. Sportsnet had an hour long preview on the Giants last night. Looks like the offence will be better this year, with full years from Posey and Ross. They were saying Posey is a once in a generation catcher, and he will hit for more power this year. Sandoval has lost a ton of weight in the off-season, and has been playing great in spring training. The pitching is still great. They should be contenders now, and into the future.

OK, this isn't exactly going out on a limb. The guy was fabulous as a first-year player, winning NL Rookie of the Year honors and helping lead the Giants to the championship. And by all accounts, he can only get better. "He hasn't even learned to pull yet. Once he does, watch out,'' one scout said. "The guy's going to be a monster.'' One thing, the guy works constantly. He isn't much for interviews, limiting them to fit in more time for work. "You have the opportunity to play in the big leagues, it's not something I'm going to take for granted,'' Posey said.
