Are you 100% sure? Have you personally tried it? If this is the case then there will be no need for me to Jailbreak my iphone 3GS. Last I heard, the ipad doesn't allow blutooth tethering from the ipad, but this may have been prior to iOS 4.3...
Wait, you do mean grabbing data from iphone 3G and sending it to the ipad right?

I researched and YES! Blutooth from iPhone to iPad is now allowed as long as the iPad (1st or 2nd Gen) are updated to 4.3.
On a sour note, Blutooth internet speed from the iphone on the ipad is 1/5 as fast as the speed off the ipad on wifi... not sure about a ipad on 3g though
