I think we got a steal out of this pick. He was a 2nd round ranked player that fell to the fourth. Would have liked to pick up Vey with one of those 4th rounders or the 3rd we used on Leach, but what can you complain about when all of your picks look like players, not to mention we had no 1st or second last year.
That was a really productive draft: Reinhart ppg Centreman, Leach .5ppg def dman, john ramage dman Captain of the USA WJC team, Bill Arnold 10 goals and 18 points so far in freshman season, Michael Ferland PPG LW light heavy weight for brandon, Karlsson a valuable back up goaltender with upside, and patrick holland near ppg player for a 7th rounder.

That was the strange thing with last years draft, there was a lot of 2nd round calibre players, that you could get those calibre prospects in the 4th round and beyond. Look at the Avs, they got Rutkowski in the 5th and the Stars I believe got Kevin Lind in the 6th and they were both supposed to be 40-50 overall picks. Tons of depth. It doesn't surprise me that all the players we took last year are doing good.
Hopefully Feaster, Goulet and Button can find another handful of good players in this years draft as well. Easier said than done though.
