Calgary to Wendover, Nevada + 3 nights hotel - $179/person after tax
There's apparently a 'casino junket' in Wendover, Nevada and they're offering flight + 3 nights hotel from Calgary for $179/person after tax from May 13-16.
My first thought was, where's Wendover, Nevada? Turns out it's about 6 hours from anything interesting, which might be why I haven't heard of it.
Here's what the 'strip' looks like:
Not exactly Vegas. For reference though, it's about 6 hours north of LV.
It's one of those small Nevada towns that only exists because of gambling.
My second thought was, ok, so who is it that's offering this package, and what does it include?
The link to the package can be found here:

If you scroll over Alberta on the map, you can click on Calgary, to see that there's a package leaving on May 13th.
From the map, we can also see that they offer packages from departures all over the U.S. From U.S. cities it looks like they mostly use Allegiant Air (a good airline with cheap flights to Vegas). But from Calgary, they use a charter airline, Max Air. We'll get to that later.
Taking a look at their
Facebook page they have over 6,000 fans and everyone seems happy. It does appear to be a legitimate offer from a legitimate company.
Here's the 3 hotels they're offering as part of the package:
Pepermill Wendover
Rainbow
Montego Bay
The Montego Bay hotel seems like the best choice. I don't think any of the 3 are great hotels, but they don't seem overly terrible.
As for the charter airline, having never heard of Max Air, I did some Googling around, and found a few reviews from people on TripAdvisor.

It sounds like they're quite reputable and actually really nice for a charter airline.
I would imagine on these casino junkets they do everything they can to encourage you to gamble at their casino. The interesting part to me would be ditching the casino and doing your own thing, just using it as a cheap flight to the Nevada/Utah area.
Looks like it's about a 2.5 hour drive to the Humboldt National forest. The thing is, after a quick search, it doesn't seem like there's anywhere to rent a car.
Here's some more reviews from people on TripAdvisor that have tried one of these packages:

If anyone can think of something interesting to do with this offer that doesn't involve the town of Wendover, let me know.
