Ya Samsung made me agree on the phone that pickup and diagnostic costs would be on me if it wasn't their faulty part so I think I am on the hook for that no matter what.

The whole power board is going for only 34 $ online so I think I will give it a try, there are a bunch of videos of people doing it on youtube. Thanks for the reply and luck - probably need it!
