Crappy part is, even if I try to do that now, I have to pay the bill for diagnosing the problem to him. Samsung said they won't pay for that now because their faulty component wasn't responsible.

Ya man I totally feel a bit like he might be trying to run the bill up, I try to give people the benefit of the doubt but it's a huge TV and even though I'm a younger guy it might look like I have loads of cash to be taken for as a result.

I think I am going to order the part myself and install it, there are lots of guides online, am a little nervous about it but I do usually build all my own computers so I think I've talked myself into it.
