I have a 50" Sony SXRD rear projection TV (KDS-50A2000). I need to replace the projection bulb/lamp after five years of usage. The part I need is the Sony XL-5200 (made with a Philips bulb). If I buy it directly from Sony it will cost $300. I have searched eBay and other sites from Google that have them substantially cheaper. I'm worried that if I bought one of the cheaper ones, it wouldn't last long or it would be a cheap knockoff.

Has anyone heard of tvlampscanada.com? Does anyone know if they are legit?

If anyone has any advice on replacing my bulb I'd appreciate hearing it. Thanks.
