HAWKS SMACK NORDS

The Nordique jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the first period lastnight in the Windy city. But the Hawks stormed back leave the game tied 3-3 in the second period. Rookie Jussi Jokinen got the Hawks motivated when he stole the puck from Donald Audette who was standing at center ice checking his wallet for his retirement papers. Jokinen steaked in alone on an unsuspecting Antero Niittymaki and fired the puck over his head to put the Hawks on the board.

Coach/GM Becky will also investigate how Lee Stempniak managed 7 min of ice time, and 12 minutes in the sin bin.

We are thrilled to come away with the win, because id we had lost yet another game we might have had to trade the entire team for some heart.
