The main thing Denver was always going to get out of the deal is a clear indication that they need to rebuild. The 4 1st round picks with Anthony on the Nets and a crazy Russian owner that will do enough to ensure the team is at least decent likely ends up with 4 15-25 type picks that are most often busts in the NBA.

This whole situation seemed like it would end up lose-lose for Denver and who ever got Carmelo and this deal seems exactly like that.

With Anthony the Knicks are at best the 5th best team in the East and not close to the other 4. They have a weaker supporting cast than the Heat with the 3 worst players out each teams "big 3." Anthony is a horrible match with Amare and Chauncey will be great at missing the big shots like he always is, but certainly will be more than willing to take them.
Didn't he win NBA Finals MVP one year?
