Maybe it was too cold to sound good? If you are going Canadian Indie route for the Heritage Classic I would have been ok with RAA or Corb Lund. His music might have worked better and been fun.....then again 90% of the crowd still wouldn't know any of the lyrics or songs so you are stuck with the situation that didn't really work. Looking around the crowd I think that Nickelback would have worked better. Some of the top Indie bands in the country are from Montreal but they still wouldn't have worked yesterday imo. Nothing worse than musical taste being forced upon people. For big events like this go with what the majority of people would know and enjoy. I would never buy a Five for fighting album but I didn't mind hearing them yesterday as they did what they do best and having a hockey connetion didn't hurt either...
