OT (not like the whole thread isn't anyway), but I heard the singer from Loverboy talking on the radio before. He was really downplaying their success. He outright said that the only reason why they had any success was because radio stations had to play Canadian content and that they played on that.

Say what you want about Metric, but they have been around for almost 10 years and only started getting radio play after their last album. The radio doesn't play them because they need the content (althought I guess it helps). They were asked by the Rolling Stones to open for them in New York, so I think that says something about their status as a legitimate band.
