Hahaha...so you're far enough away that the sound is out of sync with the playing, and you have no idea if buddy is in standard tuning or not, nor how much delay or anything else he's playing with, and you're able to deduce all of this eh.
Sounds like you're quite a bit more than an intermediate guitar player.
