I'm not going to hate on the guy. Good for him for being so successful at a young age. I don't really buy the "hard work and determination" bit though. Being noticed on Youtube and then have everything else just happen is luck. There are probably many young people with similar talent, but maybe aren't as marketable.
I'm not really the demographic that he is trying to appeal to, but to me, his singing doesn't sound that great and the music is nothing new or groundbreaking.
But it is nice to see a kid do so well for himself and his mom.
