I remember i was fortunate enough to catch one of Rockys 25 Nhl games down at the dome once. This was during the years of futility, I think Rocky had like 3 shifts all game, 2 of them he scraped and the third he drew a penalty giving the flames a PP. Anyways the third period rolls around and theres not much to cheer for, so the crowd starts chanting ROCKY!! ROCKY!! over and over. anyways continued on and on throughout the entire third period, probably the loudest chants the dome saw for many years. Unfortunately, I can't remember who the flames coach was at the time, but he refusd to bend to the will of the mob and sat Rocky the rest of the game and was subsequently sacked(okay i may have made up the last part)
How one player who probably saw less icetime in his flames career then Iginla sees in a week can we so well remembered 10+ years down the line is outstanding.
