When I was 12, in a total bone head moment, I heaved a slurpee off of the overpass between Lake Bonavista and Southcentre that crossed Anderson drive. Boom right into the windshield of a white car. We booked it, and started running towards the mall entrance, and about half way through the parking lot, a white BMW stops in front of us, Doug Riseborough gets out, grabs me by the throat, calls me a f'n punk, holds me by the scruff of the neck as he walks to the trunk of his car and opens it. All the time I was aplogizing, as it really was an accident. I wasn't thinking....etc etc. I thought I was dead, and going to be thrown in the trunk. When he opened the trunk he pulls, no....rips the towel off his golf bag, and tells me to clean it up, or he'll call my parents. So when he let go of me, and handed me the towel, I did what any other 12 year old punk would do. Threw the towel back at him told him to f'off and ran for my life. Thank god he didnt chase us down, because we probably would have been killed.
After all these years, I have said to myself, if I ever run into Doug Riseborough again, I would probably apologize... nah... I would probably throw another slurpee at him, and tell him to f'off again for the Gilmour trade.
