None of this is directed at you Cecil; but you bring up some examples of what happens. For example, and exchange like this between a Flames Fan and Canucks Fan:
FF- I wish they would stop chanting "Louuuuu" every time 7uongo touches the puck.
CK- At least we don't boo our goalie like you guys did with Kiprusoft in the Wild game
FF- Well Kipper doesn't lose key games like that 7 goal game where 7uongo got you guys eliminated.
CK- Well at least we've seen the 2nd round more than once in the last decade.
FF- TROLL!
The problem there is the Flames Fan did bait the Canucks fan; who is now responding. If you leave your bacon and honey on the picnic table when camping, don't be surprised when bears show up.
Yes, this is a Flames forum first, but when an exchange like this is reported it's pretty tough for us mods to act because both parties participated.

The only two things you should do about any troll (not just Canucks Trolls) is to report the post; and/or ignore it. Why- because the troll is there to get a reaction from you-
any reaction. Calling them a troll, telling them you are ignoring them, any of that will just feed their need for negative attention.
Even if somebody calls you out; let's say like in a multi quoted post like I did to poor Cecil above- the best thing you can do is show them you have read it by thanking or quoting a nearby "friendly post", and then continuing to ignore the troll. The troll will either do something to get themselves banned (meltdown); or leave because nobody is playing their game.
