Back in 2006, I went to a Flames game in Detroit with a friend from work who was also a Flames fan. During the pregame skate, we run into another friend of mine who is also wearing a Flames jersey and he tell's me that he's sitting at the opposite end of the rink as us.

The Detroit Tigers had just finished their run to the 2006 World Series a few days before and during a 2nd period tv timeout, the PA annoncer says "Ladies and Gentlement, we have a special guest in attendance tonight, please give a warm welcome to Detroit Tigers Pitcher, Nate Robertson!"

My friend sitting next to me taps me on the shoulder and says "hey look, its your buddy!"
I look up at the big screen and my other friend, drunk and completely oblivious to the fact that he is sitting right infront of Nate Robertson, jumps up wearing his Flames jersey and starts frantically twirling around a Flames scarf! He filled up the whole big screen and completely blocked out the Tigers pitcher. The Detroit crowd didn't know whether to cheer their baseball hero or boo the drunken Flames fan. One of the funniest things I've ever seen at a live sporting event.
