Instead they go all pretentious and choose the 'music critics' choice. There is a reason the Grammy's have been losing out the other music awards show in terms of popularity. They just aren't relevant to average person who listens to music.
And their categories are just ridiculous. How are Muse and Pearl Jam the newest rock bands in the rock music category? Have there been no new rock bands in the past 10 years?
