HF doesn't have nearly the same atmosphere and moderation philosophy in off-topic sections. The thread itself likely would not be tolerated, much less responses to it.
RedMileDJ has posted the closest examples of remarks that you are saying are typical, and I would say that the vast majority of CP members would not agree with them, and indeed they have been soundly renounced by many people replying to this thread.
