I just bought a $10 Groupon for $25 of food at a nice sushi place in St Louis.
The Groupon is open for 2 more days, and in the first day, so far they sold ~6000 vouchers. The vouchers are only valid for dinner service and expires in 6 months. I figure the restaurant has 30 tables x 180 days = 5400 dinner sittings. Yet they have 6000 sitting in that time. What if they sell another 6000 vouchers tomorrow?
Of course, on fridays and weekends, each table may have two or even three sittings over the course of the evening, nevertheless, they will be in for a mad rush of customers. Probably a lot more than they anticipated
