Yeah I know the majority of the country wants him out...now. And I certainly understand it.
However...I think a major void would exist if he leaves right now without a really solid plan on who starts making decisions until September. Voids in government that big are most often exploited by those with the worst of intentions...particularly in that part of the world.
Clearly he is going to be gone after the election, in the mean time it could be complete chaos if he doesn't stay until then. This is probably the best way of this thing going down...in the long-term anyhow. Its a vulnerable time for that region and stability is essential after the amount of revenue lost the last 3 weeks because of this event.
I certainly understand the anger of those who want change, but this kind of thing takes time. Not sure there is anyone in place that could keep things together until Spetember beyond Mubarek....unfortunately.
