I should put a caveat on that. Once realising that the traffic wasn't going to move, I pulled into the left lane passed the minivan and continued to turn right on 9th. I would have been there forever if the bus didn't block traffic in the left lane, allowing me to proceed. I was driving a FWD, underpowered, heavy sedan, with good winter tires being the key.
