I laugh at PIMking's genius observation that 4x4 doesn't help. I sure as hell wasn't slipping around this morning. The vehicles without 4x4 were. Forget about stopping for a second, bumper to bumper traffic in snowy conditions is exacerbated by 2 wheel drive vehicles not being able to take off. No big deal, of course... Just pointing it out because I think PIMking has no clue what he's talking about. If everyone in Calgary drove Subarus and trucks, traffic on days like this would be as normal as any other day.

Don't be offended, car people. I'm not actually suggesting that you buy trucks for the few days a year that 4x4 helps. I actually appreciate your compactness the other 350 days per year when you're taking up less parking space, and I'm pretty jealous of your ability to zip around on nice days.
