The Sport Supplement Thread
After years of not supplementing at all, and to be honest, not really working out seriously, I have gotten back into things.
As such, I decided to start supplementing again and poked my head into a few supplement shops... wow, was I confused.
Now I am not an expert on this subject, but in the past tried to educated myself the best I could.
I thought I would start a thread to discuss the topic. Moreover, I was hoping people could recommend some good products.
In the past, I generally took a rapidly absorbed protein (whey) with some high glycemic carb with creatine and glutamine post workout. Then an hour later I would take a half serving of a slowly absorbed protein (casein). I would then take another half scoop of the later at night before bed. Is this still a good set-up?
What brands are good these days for protein? BSN syntha 6? Muscle milk? Myofusion? (at least from my reading). I am really stickler for taste so I am looking for something that tastes alright.
I have also found the cost of supplements a little hard to swallow. Anyone have experience with bodybuilding.com? Does the exchange, shipping and possible customs fees still make it cheaper then the expensive Canadian online sites?
