I guess my opinion is clouded after seeing so many videos on youtube of cops shooting people with knives even when they are not physically threatening anyone with them. I have even seen cops shoot a wheelchair person who was holding a knife. |
So if you have a guy running straight at you with a knife, are you going to chance it by using your judo chops to slap the knife out of his hand? I sort of doubt it. Contrary to your personal opinion, police officers are still human, and sort of enjoy living. They want to go home at the end of the night.
