I'm doing P90x right now, and I am in the best shape of my life.
Its effing hard, but the results can be had if you work for them. With that said, I lead a very active lifestyle before trying p90x. I would definitely not suggest it as a workout program for someone just starting to get into shape.
5 days a week with heavy weights and cardio is great....but do you really push yourself as hard as with p90x? I know that whenever I went to the gym I would never push myself as hard as any of the workouts I'm doing now.
It is the real deal, you just have to commit to doing it. I bike to work everyday, do p90x, and play soccer...I've never had more energy in my life, its awesome.
