I was listening to the Flames (they were on QR at the time, and Bart Dailey was the PBP guy) play LA, I think, or possibly Vancouver. It was a late game at any rate. I was doing homework, and the hair on the back of my neck still stands up when I recall a news announcer simply state between periods: "John Lennon is dead."
