I was out at Pano two weeks ago and go there every year. EPIC powder up top from the road closing snow they experienced there at the time. When I left it was raining pretty hard at the base and it might have left the hill in crusty conditions. I imagine that the coverage in Tayton and the Dream bowls is better than most years. I also heard similar conditions in Fernie. We were forced by the road closures to travel through Fernie and the ground was bare from the warmth and rain. Probably the same story, epic on top, crusty ice at the base.
That all said it's been two weeks since then and typically Fernie is always a better bet for snow than Pano. My boss is out there this weekend (And he's a powder junky) and I can pass on his report on Monday.
