I was waiting for someone to post this. Recent studies have shown that the time wasted stopping compressions to blow air into the person can be the difference between life and death.
And CC, there is nothing wrong with breaking their ribs if it saves their life. Sometimes you have to.
Remember, if you ever have to do the compressions, to think of the Bee Gee's song "Stayin' Alive." "Ah, ah, ah, ah, stayin' alive. Stayin' alive." Thats the correct tempo (beats per minute).
