I've played in each of the coed leagues in Calgary, and I think the best choice would be the one run by CUSA. At least the times of the games are not completely out to lunch. I had a game for Fusion start at 11pm the other night....brutal trying to get up for work the next day.
If you decide to play CUSA men's league, yes it is more competitive, but you can also play in lower divisions and be alright. There will be a couple teams each year that will stomp you because they are newly formed and moving up the ranks, just accept that and you will be just fine.
