Not saying that a guy can play on a sprain but I'm willing to bet some QB's would have gutted it out. Rivers played on a torn MCL for example.

This is still up in the air, there are also reports that he has a tear and it may just be a grade 1. Otherwise, technically speaking you cannot sprain an MCL, there are just different grades of a tear. It looks like it may be a grade 1 or 2 which is determined as a "sprain" (not fully torn, can be repaired in 3-6 weeks)

Regardless of how bad "sprain" sounds, its the same injury that took Troy Polomalu out earlier this season and has ben extremely cautious of coming back
