I think everyone who died from either of those ailments would love to argue that, but they can't because they're dead. I'm also sure that they would have gotten any sort of vaccine to prevent their deaths as well.
This is the problem with some people, they call it fear mongering if you try and warn them about it. Then they'll get equally mad if they aren't warned about it.
