go raiders go.
Wow stressfull game as a big Chief fan. Shows just how bi-polar I really am. KC did a good job of being able to keep up what they did in the first half, and continue doing it in the second half. Larry Johnson comes through huge in the 4th quarter too. At this time of year you want that big o-line and a guy who can keep pounding the ball. I thought Denver got away from their bootleg passing game in the second half and didn't take enough shots down field to stretch the defence. Perhaps they were guilty of having too much success running the ball between the 20 yard lines. They moved the ball, but once they got to the goal line they didn't use that fake left roll Plummer out right, that usually works for them. The result was not being able to get into the end zone in the second half. Still I think Trent Green being able to make the tackle after that interception was huge. Instead of giving up all momentum and going down a touchdown, that tackle allowed the Chiefs to only be down a field goal and be able to take the lead on the next possession.
The call on Lynch is a tough call to make. But Lynch does have that reputation, and it's easy in such an emotional game to go all out. Hard to say what the ultimate impact of the call was as it did make it first and goal at the 5 instead of 3rd and 9.
Still a very good entertaining game I think for any NFL fan. Close all the way, and a lot of big plays by both teams on both sides of the ball. It's huge for the Chiefs though. If they can win their two remaining home games and get some help against San Deigo and Pittsburgh 10-6 might get them in. If they get in, I'll have to say they earned it. Even if they end up like 9-7 I think this team is better than the 13-3 team from two years ago.
