While everyone's on the topic of LeBron... To everyone who dislikes the guy, I just wanted to ask why?
He finished his contract and chose to leave because the GM in Cleveland brought in zero actual talent to surround LeBron. This can now be seen with the Cavaliers (best record in the regular season last year) in dead last.
In my opinion, most athletes want to win and LeBron did what was in his best interests.
On the other hand, you have Kobe, who is widely considered the best competitor in the game right now. However, people are very quick to forget that he refused to play for the Charlotte Hornets, who drafted him 13th overall and were forced to trade him. Are you kidding me? A kid out of high school, who isn't even a top 10 pick is demanding a trade before playing a game?
Another very quickly forgotten demand from the "Black Mamba" was his trade demand. The Lakers had been out of the playoffs twice in the first round and Bryant wanted out. He stayed because of the trade that landed Pau Gasol.
Quote:
"I would like to be traded, yeah. Tough as it is to come to that conclusion there's no other alternative, you know?"

I think it's a lot worse asking for a trade in the middle of your contracts instead of playing out the entire contract and then making the move. LeBron gave Cleveland every season they signed him for, without any trade demands.
If Jarome went elsewhere at the end of his contract, would you be mad at him and burn his jersey? I wouldn't because we weren't able to surround him with a championship team, he should be able to chase the cup with a contender. Why should LeBron have some sort of debt to Cleveland? People think he's a backstabber for chasing a championship?
