I am going to make a bold statement that Calgary has the best pizza in the world at least from my experience and talking with others. I go to Chicago/NYC often for work, used to live in NYC and have been to Greece and all parts of Italy where I've gone out of my way to taste their best pizzas. Giordianos, Due, Ginos and Uno are Chicago deep dish at it's best....the ones in Calgary are terrible. NYC my favorites were Lombardis, Grimaldis, Valduccis and Johns....great thin crust. Athens had some good places where you can see where Calgary gets it's influence and Italy was really good especially Naples and Rome. Super thin crusts with rich sauce and minimal cheese.

All good meccas for a good pie but the greek-style pizza here in Calgary comes out on top in my opinion. Odessey, Michaels, Spiros, Nick's and Mannnies are all superb greek-style Calgary pizza. Thick crust, lots of cheese, rich sauce, a tad greasy but not overdone and pan cooked. I have never been to Atlas so I'll have to go out of my way to check out that place as I've heard a lot of good things. I live near the core so Michaels and Mannies I frequent most often. The only chain I would waste my time on is Papa John's. The rest are garbage.
