It seems the Ticats are staying in Hamilton, which is great news for the storied franchise. unfortunately instead of going to a better site and building a new stadium, they are renovating Ivor Wynne, starting in 2012 to be finished in 2014. the stadium will have less capacity then current Ivor Wynne at 25000 seats. the location of the stadium is silly as it is far from the highway, has no parking and is in a not very nice area of Hamilton. originally they wanted to build on a different site, to maximize revenue and possibly create additional income/revitalization based on the area. not much room to do it where they are, and a small stadium, why not 30,000?
anyways, glad they are staying in Hamilton, but politically it is like the politicians don't want to make a tough decision, so they will just stay in thier rundown stadium and try to improve it. 30 years from now they will still need a new stadium, but the politicians in Hamilton will be gone by then, so its not thier problem
