It says in every manual that you need to plug them directly into the power port, not a power bar first.

Also the Belkins linked to above run very hot, thats normal according to Belkin due to their cooling system.

I have got it to work in an apartment that dont have individual power circuits for every suite but it was twitchy. In a house or condo with its own closed power circuit there are no issues.
