For not having her registration sticker on her plate. Cop pulls her over for going 61 in a 50 zone, then tells her he won't give her a speeding ticket because they come with demerits (which would be her first).

She's been carrying the sitcker in the car for a few months, gives it to him.. and he returns with the sticker, her license and a $230 ticket.

A little steep IMO. Any ideas on how to get this reduced/erased before she goes through the process of speaking with a JP?
