Ted Mentioned that the NFL was consulted on this issue and indicated that they would NOT allow this sort of trade to occur. You can trade for future considerations but they have to be draft eligible players not players on your roster.
If you dont have an independant commishiner with authority to act or penalize teams that abuse the rules - then his approval of the trades is in point of fact completly irrelevant.
