It was an eventful year. My son was born in February two days before Canada won the gold. I than lost my job in June, and there isn't much in my line of work for jobs out there....so I ended up having to take one in Edmonton and move back to St.Albert. Within that we bought a house, and vehicle. From where my life was 12 months ago, to where it is today, it's pretty different.

But despite some rough patches, it's a great year because I wouldn't trade my son for anything in this world. He's the greatest thing I've ever had.

I should add that I became an Uncle, than was a bit nervous when my 5 month old nephew had to have open heart surgery in November. But he's recovered well and is doing awesome now. I tell you as a parent of a young one myself, that would have been a terrifying time.
