$500 for a pack of 4 or 5 cards. Wow, that's a long way from spending $1 on a pack of Upper Deck baseball cards (and thinking I was splurging).
Every now and then I've thought of getting back into the card-collecting gig. It would have to be as a collection thing though, not as an investment.
What do you get for $500 in one of those extra-fancy sets of cards? Is there a happy medium between the stuff you get at Wal-Mart and the $500 set? Would there even be a point to searching for a happy medium - or would you just be spending extra money on the 'nicer' cards for no real reason?
