Trust me, in the situation I was describing from this morning, I think tailgating and laying on the horn would have done more damage than good. It is not up to me, you or anyone else on the road not in a CPS car to "teach" anyone else how to drive.

If I find anyone tailgating me, the first thing I will do is apply some firm but quick pressure to my brakes. If that doesn't cause you to stop, I will immediately begin to slow down...right lane or left lane. Stay a reasonable distance from my rear bumper and we'll all get along fine.

You tailgating me will not cause me to go faster...regardless of the circumstances. And it is one of the most unsafe (sober) driving practices there is.
