Have you tried sticking a nasal aspirator up the nose of an infant before? If you haven't,
do everything in your power to make sure you never have to. Having a newborn is incredibly draining and being reckless about germs will ensure that the 45 minutes of sleep you were going to get goes straight out the window.
My kid is 1 and he's been sick for about a month now (thank you daycare). It isn't nearly as bad as when he was smaller. He sleeps, he plays and he gets distracted by things. Sick infants don't do any of those things, all they have is you.
