Don't google it unless you want to see someone kill themselves on national television.

Now of course everyone will look it up. The video is all over the internet. He blows his brains out with a .357 magnum at a live press conference. I'm not one to watch really disturbing stuff normally. It is not a fun video to watch but I've definitely seen worse. I get that sick feeling watching it but I just watched it last night (not for the 1st time) after seeing this thread and it is definitely not fun to watch but contains nothing to keep me up at night or scar me for life or anything. I think it helps that it was filmed in 1986 and is kind of grainy.

There is a fair amount of blood and they close up on him and you can sort of make out his brains coming out the top of his head though so be forewarned.

There about 5 links to the video at the top of google search results when you search his name.

was an American politician from the state of Pennsylvania.

In 1986 Dwyer was convicted of receiving a bribe from a Californian firm trying to gain the contract. He maintained throughout his trial and after his conviction that he was innocent of the charge and had been framed.

On the morning of January 22, 1987, he committed suicide with a revolver during a televised press conference at his office in Harrisburg, the state capital.

Dwyer took a .357 Magnum revolver from a manila envelope, advising the crowd, "Please leave the room if this will offend you." Attendees pleaded with Dwyer to put the gun down, while some ran to get help. Others tried to approach him.[10] "Don't, don't, don't, this will hurt someone," he warned.[11] Dwyer put the gun barrel in his mouth and fired.[12] He collapsed against a wall in a sitting position, as blood poured from his nose and an exit wound at the top of his head. Witnesses screamed in shock, as five news cameras broadcast the events live. Dwyer was pronounced dead at the scene at 11:31 AM, EST
