Clarkson makes and breaks the show. Watch Clarkson's non Top Gear car shows (there are plenty made, especially between 1999-2002) and it feels just like or better than Top Gear.

You might as well call Top Gear the Jeremy Clarkson hour but over the years, May and Hammond have come into their own too and are great hosts on their individual programs as well.

None of these guys on Top Gear USA should even be on television. Top Gear USA might as well be Fifth Gear USA. Top Gear USA is just a giant download and fast forward to watch about 5 minutes/45 minutes for me.

It's a shame really. Imagine what would happen if they trimmed the show's budget by ALOT and used the extra money to hire some real American entertainment or car industry personas. Imagine the show hosted by an A-list comedian or talk show host and it would be much better. Hell the British show now operates on a shoestring budget and it's still just as good.
I disagree on one point. Clarkson's videos are rather bland. I enjoy them because they are just fast cars which he reviews, but for an hour and 20 minutes it gets boring. Top Gear is all three, if any of them left it wouldn't be the same, be it James, Richards or Jeremy.
