CHARA CHARMS CHICAGO

Certainly the fans in Chicago looked forward to Zdeno Chara taking the ice and making his presence felt in the game. For some odd reason the GM and coach of the Hawks decided to play Adrian Aucoin until he tired and as limp as a dishrag. Chara did manage to muscle his way to 21 minutes of icetime. But you would think he would have racked up 29 minutes instead of Aucoin. Both D men did an admirable job, but maybe, just maybe 29 minutes is a little long even for iron man Aucoin.

Chara did keep big man Mats Sundin off the board tonight. Paired with fellow new Hawk Martin Skoula, Chara allowed Skoula to shine. He was named 1st star and collected 3 assists.

This was a very exciting game for Hawks fans. The new boys and the old familiar players did not disappoint tonight!!
